Osteopathic Medicine
Osteopathic Medicine is a holistic approach to healthcare that emphasizes the interrelationship between the body’s structure and function. It is based on the principle that the body has an innate ability to heal itself when its musculoskeletal system is properly aligned and functioning. Osteopathic physicians also known as Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) are fully licensed medical physicians that use a combination of hands-on techniques, lifestyle advice, and conventional medical practices to diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses.
At Narberth Family Medicine & Acupuncture Center, our highly trained osteopathic physicians are dedicated to providing personalized care that addresses the root causes of health issues, rather than just treating symptoms. Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is a key component of our approach, involving gentle manipulation of muscles, joints, and tissues to restore balance and promote healing.
