Poornima Kumar

Poornima Kumar is proud to join the Narberth Family Medicine team as a Physician Assistant.
After growing up in Lower Merion, she first received her Bachelor's degree in Biology at Eastern University in St. Davids, PA followed by her Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Alderson Broaddus University in West Virginia. She returned to the area a few years later and has officially been working at Narberth Family Medicine since late 2025.

In high school, Poornima fostered her passion for medicine by volunteering at Lankenau hospital. Since then, she has gained clinical experience in various disciplines such as cardiology, internal medicine, palliative medicine, and dermatology. She uses her extensive experience and education to provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages. She currently specializes in helping her patients with acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and preventative care.

Outside of her career, she is active in her community via volunteering at her local religious institutions and her children's school board association.
