Melissa Tomon, CRNP

Melissa is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, specializing in pediatrics and integrative health.  Melissa received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from
Gwynedd Mercy University while working at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She went on to further hereducation and received her master’s degree in nursing from The University of Pennsylvania. Melissa has experience working in both inner city and suburban practices along with having specific experience working in Functional and Integrative medicine.
After a long battle with a debilitating autoimmune condition, Melissa changed her focus to integrative and holistic medicine. Melissa is currently undergoing studies at the Institute for Functional Medicine. She also has completed the program at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition for holistic nutrition and health coaching. Melissa has taken many homeopathy education courses and incorporates homeopathic medicine into her practice.
Melissa specializes in gut health, leaky gut syndrome, food intolerances, autoimmune disease, eczema and allergies, and general holistic wellness. Although Melissa’s specialty is pediatrics, she also extends her integrative approach to adults. She combines traditional testing with functional medicine testing to get the whole picture and help treat the root cause.
Melissa has two children of her own, ages 4 and 6, and is raising her children with a holistic approach. She is passionate about educating our children and families on the impact of food and environment on our health and ways to prevent illness and achieve wellness.
